I got a new computer case about a week ago. An Apex Mid ATX Tower with a 400 watt PSU and one exhaust fan. Well I turned it on tonight and it started to make a weird noise kinda like a plane trying to take off. Well before it damaged any internal components or flew out the window I turned it off. Turned it on again a few minutes later and it sounded normal. But I was wondering what the noise might have been. I couldn't open it, panel is screwed in, and didn't want anything damaged. So I would appreciate opinions or suggestions as to what I should be looking at or for. Thank you.New computer case made weird noise.?
It could be a dud fan, or possibly a cable is floating around inside the case and fouling a fan when it ends up in a certain position - that'll give you a nice whining noise and would be very likely if you've just changed the case over. This can be remedied for cable ties or tape and is important to fix. If it's a dying fan, it's not expensive, but is worth doing urgently.
Linked is a video with sounds of different kinds of hard drive problems - if it sounds like any of those, back up your data!New computer case made weird noise.?
Hard disk might be loose... would certainly send vibrations through the case.
The only answer for your query is loose connection. Try diassemble and then reassemble it.
First u replace the fan,Problem Will solve
turn ur pc off and remove the main power cable. get oil for electric fan or electronic parts purpose. open the fan that is attached with cpu casing. u will find a sticker on it. remove it and pour few drops of oil in it. hold the fan upside so the oil wont spil. rotate the fan with a finger until its zam gets easy. pu the sticker back. if u can do it successfully then do it to all other fans. be careful. let the computer run with casing open and try to feel which fan is causing it. normally too much vibration can help u find out. change the faulty fan to avoid further damage to other parts
