Ok so my drivers are out of date to play WoW so i need to buy a new graphics card. Here is the problem, I need a new case to fit all this into it, im really confused right now about this because when I went to newegg and searched chassis it was really confusing.
I have a motherboard PCI Express 16x, what type of chassis would i buy to be compatible with that mother board???
What size chassis do i need?
And would I be able to buy a good NVIDIA gfx card to play WoW on it to fit in that chassis or case that is compatible with my current motherboard, and if not do I need to buy a new motherboard??
HELP!!Is computer case (chassis) compatible with my motherboard?
PCI express 16x is just the connection type for the video card ... has nothing to do with motherboard size. you can't go wrong with a regular ATX computer case because both ATX motherboards and micro ATX motherboards (regular size and small size respectively) both fit in it.
As for the video card , you should double-check that you have PCI express 16x and not PCI express 16x 2.0. 2.0 would mean you can run the latest graphics cards. but regardless, make sure your power supply has a 6-pin connector because 'gamer' video cards usually need to be plugged in by a 6-pin power source. theres even converters for the regular 4-pin ones

there are plenty good video cards you could get for WoW that would fit in a mid-atx case.Is computer case (chassis) compatible with my motherboard?
Most motherboards and cases conform to the ATX form factor standard.
You just need to check the specs for both the motherboard and the case to make sure they're both ATX (as opposed to micro-ATX or extended ATX).
what motherboard do you have?
