Which computer case should I get? Antec P183 or Tt Element S?

I'm currently running my system in an Antec 900 with lots of fans and LEDs. I regret having LEDs now because it's really bright and my parents would know my computer is on so I want to buy another case. I have came down to two cases (as mentioned).

I want a case with:

less LEDs

near silent (I'll also have the oem version of the Corsair H50 h20 cooler)

great for Lan parties

easy cable management

decent and silent airflow

which one would be the best for my setup?Which computer case should I get? Antec P183 or Tt Element S?
I can tell you which one of those two cases *I* like the best, but what is ';best'; for one isn't necessarily the case for someone else. :)

I've grown not to like a case where the 3.5'; HDD bays are ';sideways'; in the case, with the cables facing the removable door, however, that is because I've always had such cases where the power supply is at the top of the case. In such a case, getting the power cables to the HDD's has been a problem. Both of the cases you've mentioned have the power supply at the bottom, and I think that had I used such a case, it would have been a much better experience. The only issue you might run into with the cases you have would be neatly getting a power cable up to your CD-ROM, unless you have very long leads on your power supply (or use an extension).

The above said, I think either case should be a good fit for your system (so long as you're not going to get crazy with multiple giant video cards, tons of HDD's, etc). If I were to pick one of the two of them myself, and had NO other choices, I'd pick the Antec, because I like plain and simple stuff. :)

At any rate, when I did have an Antec case (it was an aluminum case with a window and those silly lighted 120mm fans), I modified it to fit what I wanted.

The first thing I did was to remove the LEDs from the fans (a pair of wire cutters work perfectly for that). Mine were hot-glued in place and came up quite easily. If you'res are a bit more secure, simply replacing the fans would solve your problem. :)

The second thing I did was remove the window (it was held in with screws -- the bits that showed on the outside of the case were basically a plastic threaded ';nut';). I then took one of those green plastic ';scratch pads'; (like those SOS pads you can wash dishes with) and scuff the *inside* of the plastic window. I then took a flat black spray paint and painted the inside of the window. I put on three very light coats to make sure I got an even coverage.

When I put it all back together, I had a nice quite case that didn't have all those stupid lights all over the place, and I saved a *ton* of cash. :)
