How can I know a computer's motherboard(chipset) without actually opening the case?

Is there a way I can know a computer's motherboard(chipset) without actually opening the case, probably at the tiem of POST or after booting, probaly MY Computer -- manage-- - computer management--- device manager?How can I know a computer's motherboard(chipset) without actually opening the case?

If I say you cant will you leave me alone? I dont think so but if anything it would be under, [System devices] -%26gt; [Motherboard resources] goto the registry and find ';motherboard'; maybe that will yield some results...
u can get alot of ur pcs' specs by downloading and running the free version of everest ...

Download Everest Home Edition. It will scan your machine and give you all data pertaining to your hardware. Hope this helps

Right click on My Computer in the Start Menu and select Properties. Under the General tab, you should see the info you need.
