Don't worry Crackajack. The new board will come with a new back plate that will fit in your existing case - as long as it is an ';ATX'; which is the standard physical format for 99.9 % of desktop PCs. Other formats are microATX and custom formats for large manufacturers.

Just never buy anything which is not ATX. Its hard to get parts like connectors may be different.

One thing to watch out for with ATX format boards is whether they are full or slimline boards.

Slimline boards don't line up with one of the rows of screws inside, so that side of the board id left hanging in the air a bit. Its works, but their is a risk of flexing the board to much when you plug in EAM and power.

I prefer full width boards for that reason.
