Would you buy a customised computer case that fits in with your home interior design?

This is for my A-level business studies research. If you don't mind please put a yes or a no, and your age and gender. The basic concept is producing custom built computer cases to fit YOUR interior design. The case is the bit that houses the internal components of the computer. So not necessarily something geeky and pimped out, perhaps to blend nicely with your furniture. The business aims to produce high quality, stylish cases, something apple mac seems to have captured pretty well. Don't need to take price or nething into considoration, just simply if you like the idea or not.

ThanksWould you buy a customised computer case that fits in with your home interior design?
I already do have that!! If you are taking in the landscape on what might sell I would say maybe something in true wood cases! Those of us who are older can easily afford such top end stuff, but finding anything like that is near impossible.Would you buy a customised computer case that fits in with your home interior design?
nope, aged 18, male
I think that would be sweet. One thing I hate about most computer setups is that the case is either (a) crazy spaceage with lights and crap (like AlienWare) or (b) they look like a big blob of plastic. Something that fit my decor in my home office would be great!

I'm a 27yr old guy.
No, age 57, male

Looking for a Plain Black computer case.?

Need help looking for a case.

Black (or white if need be, I can always paint it)

Full Tower

(preferably a front door but thats not necessary)

The plainer the better but if theres a fan panel on the side thats fine, I'm just going to cut that out anyways.

No latch on the side

Price range is about $0-200

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as鈥?/a>

Is a really good example but I would rather not spend that much on a case I'm going to be cutting up.

Thanks a bunch for your help.Looking for a Plain Black computer case.?
Search for antec cases, they are pretty plain looking.

Monitor is electrifying my computer case?

My computer is not plugged in, however, when I plug in the monitor to my computer, the computer case becomes electrified and gives me a continuous shock when I touch it.

I touched the mettle parts of the LCD monitor (i.e. screws on back and VESA mounts) and the tip of DVI cord but I didn't get any direct shocks from the monitor.

I didn't know this was possible. At first I thought maybe my motherboard wasn't grounded properly (I just received my computer in Jordan from being shipped from the US so I thought maybe a screw was loose) but when I unplugged the PSU and the shock continued I realized it was coming from the monitor. I unplugged the monitor and the shock eventually disappeared as the the case was slowly discharged from me touching the case.

I live in Jordan so checking the ground on the monitor is out of the question. There is no grounding here. The cord has what I believe to be ground receptacles on the side of the end of the cord but there isn't anything that I can plug into that has matching mettle sensors to receive the ground (I have seen them in some buildings but not in my apartment).

Does anyone have any other suggestions?Monitor is electrifying my computer case?
You can use negative as your ground! :) Just rewire the cable if you are feeling brave

It鈥檚 likely your apartment actually grounds out the negative anyways as its common in under developed areas (even in the US).

This might be crude but I have worked in areas that I have had to do things like this. Personally i would tape or screw a little wire from the case to a metal or copper water pipe in the building, though if that doesn鈥檛 work everyone will be shocked a little when they try turn on the water (like touching your case), which in its self may be worth it.

Extra:

i gave you 2 options :)

Both should work fine, if you don鈥檛 know what the negative is don鈥檛 rip cord apart and start connecting wires!

The main objective is to make it ground on something else besides you, so a radiator or something else should work. I picked the metal piping for the sink because it will always have a good ground. This is comon sense to me to its hard to explaine it to some one else.

  • Beeping sound coming from computer case, then windows fails to boot?

I was playing a game, and suddenly a short, constant beeping sound started coming from my computer case. I closed out of the game, and it was still there. So I then restarted, and all the windows that usually flash by very quickly in a regular start up took forever to load, and when it finally almost got to the windows screen it gives me this error.

    \Boot\ BCD

    Status: 0xc000000e

An error occurred while attempting to read the boot configuration data

I put in the windows install disc, did repair, system startup repair thing, and it said it didn't detect the problem. Some things seem different during the slow start up too, but that could just be me, usually they go by really quickly so I'm not sure I knew what it all looked like very well originally, although I believe one of my back up hard drives does not show up. Even if it did fail, however, it shouldn't affect my primary hard drive, would it? Any advice on the matter would be GREATLY appreciated, I really need my computer to boot again. Thanks in advance.

Beeping sound coming from computer case, then windows fails to boot?
    The solution is:

Use WinPE disk, and then switch to a new drive system Division: windows \ system32 directory

    Directory order for the switch:

    Code: cd c: \ windows \ system32

C: drive letter for the district system

    Following three running order:

Code: bcdedit / set (default) osdevice boot

bcdedit / set (default) device boot

bcdedit / set (default) detecthal 1

with your choices, duke casing is the best. although astone has a glossy outside paint. but duke gives you a better airflow since its mesh type. also, try to search for achilles from frontier casings i think. same manufacturer of duke i think. its also a good case.

but haf 932, antec 902, gigabyte sumo 5115, cosmos s are good high end casings.

HTHWhich is the best computer case(ATX)?
Since your mother board is micro atx you need to get a computer that is compatible with micro atx motherboards. This means that the screw holes on the computer case will match with the ones on the motherboard. I recommend you look here for Micro Atx computer cases:

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductLis鈥?/a>

I already selected a mid tower and micro atx cases for you on this link. A mid tower is the same as a medium size computer case. It is not too big and not too small.

From your list the Astone is the only one that will work for your motherboard.I recommend that you buy the case and the power supply separately because the bundled power supplies are usually low quality and if it fails it may damage your other computer parts that are connected to it. Buy a quality power supply. I recommend you get a Corsair Brand power supply.
That all depends on how you define ';best';. Do you mean:

    - Best price?

    - Most features?

    - Best value?

    - Lightest weight?

    - Best warranty?

    - Best reputation of maker?

    - Best fit to YOUR needs?

    - Some combination of these?
    Antec 902 for midtower

    Antec 1200 for fulltower
Most cases have everything needed. I look for most airflow or biggest or most fans. Reason being a cool cpu is a good cpu. Heat shortens the life of your pc.
if your going on just for looks then dont bother because its a desktop you wont really see it

if u go for specs the Duke DUO8A is good
